AUTOMATIC NAVIGATION OF ROBOT
ABSTRACT:
The project aims to develop an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle which is used to navigate between two points on earth using GPS and Electronic compass. Vehicle, in its way, detect obstacles and ultimately avoid them using machine vision. Moreover, our project also includes RF-communication and motion detection for surveillance purposes. This project is giving a basic idea of unmanned vehicles by providing automatic navigation and obstacle avoidance on one robot. The advantage of the proposed vehicle is its low price and its automatic navigation between two points on earth (using GPS). WORKING: First of all the robot waits for the destination coordinates, meanwhile the coordinates will be sent to robot through RF transmitter receiver pair. RF receiver transfers the coordinate data to LabVIEW through serial port. Then LabVIEW calculates distance and heading towards destination and starts its motion towards destination in forward direction. If obstacle occurs then robot not only detects it through machine vision but also avoid it using obstacle avoidance program. After avoiding that obstacle, robot corrects its heading and continues towards destination until it reaches. FEATURES:
